Car Conversions

Two of our members are currently working on plans for car conversions within the next two years. Updates will be posted when the projects are ready to be publicised.

The first conversion will be a diesel to Bio-diesel conversion requiring a local production plant and using waste oil from Mount Isa and district.

The second will be a petrol to electric refit. This will require the car to be re-engineered to hold batteries and a new electric motor.

Information on how to do car conversions is available from CLEAN, on line or from the Mount Isa City Library.
